Fine Details ("Fine Details," "we," "us") is a mobile auto detailing and exterior/driveway cleaning business owned and operated by Samuel Allen in Louisville, Kentucky. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through getfinedetails.com, our booking page, and our messaging channels, and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact and booking details: name, phone number, email address, service address, appointment date/time, and service selections you provide when booking through Square or contacting us.
- Messages: content you send us by Facebook Messenger, text message, or email, including questions and quote requests.
- Vehicle and property photos: photos you send of your vehicle, driveway, or property, and photos we take before, during, and after service.
- Vehicle and service details: make, model, condition notes, and job notes.
- Payment information: processed by Square. We do not store full card numbers.
- Basic website data: our host and any analytics tools may collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
2. How We Use Information
- To schedule, confirm, perform, and follow up on services, and to give quotes.
- To contact you by text, phone, or email about your appointment, including reminders, weather rescheduling, and receipts.
- To document vehicle and property condition before and after service and to resolve any claims.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and keep business records.
- With your consent (which you may withdraw), to send occasional offers and to use before/after photos in marketing as described in our Terms of Service.
3. Third-Party Services
We use trusted providers that process information on our behalf or under their own policies, including:
- Square (Block, Inc.) for online booking, appointment reminders, invoicing, and payments. Square Privacy Notice.

- Our email, phone/SMS carriers, and website hosting providers.
Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
4. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for third parties' own marketing. We share information only with the service providers above, when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
5. Text Messages and Email
By providing your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry and appointments. Message and data rates may apply. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or email us to opt out of email. We may still send messages strictly about a service you booked. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with third parties for their marketing.
6. Photos
Condition photos are kept as service records. We will not publish photos showing license plates, faces, house numbers, or other identifying details without removing or blurring them. To opt out of marketing use of your photos, email us at any time.
7. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed:
- Customer contact and booking history: 3 years after your last service.
- Before/after photos and signed inspection waivers: 3 years after the service date.
- Payment and tax records: 7 years.
You may ask us to delete your contact information sooner, except for records the law requires us to keep. After these periods, we delete or de-identify the information.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law or for an open claim. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
